Sorry about the "cruel and unusual punishment". I just wanted to know what everyone thought before I posted the sex of the baby :) But now that I'm thinking about it, maybe I shouldn't post it...maybe I should make everyone wait until the baby is born. Lots of people do that these days ya know. THAT would be really cruel huh?

Okay, well I guess maybe I'll just tell you. I would have posted sooner, but its only 9 am here right now, which means I've been asleep while all of you were trying to guess and being tortured by the suspense lol. Its a boy! We're SO excited. I had a feeling it was a boy. Why?

1. it has felt natural to call the baby "he" ever since the beginning.
2. I had a dream about having a baby boy this time. With Morgan I always dreamt about girls.
3. The Chinese calander said Morgan was supposed to be a boy, so when it said girl this time, I figured it would be wrong again.
4. My sister in law, Jenny, did a "string" test on me years ago and the results said 5 kids...girl, boy, girl, girl, boy.

This taking pictures of yourself sideways stuff is not easy! So here ya go, this is the best I could get and I've been trying for 2 weeks now! This is me at 19 1/2 weeks...I think I need some maternity clothes, what do you think?

Ultrasound Results...

I had my almost 20 weeks Ultrasound today. The results say its a....

BABY!!!!!!!!!!

I'm curious as to what everyone THINKS the sex of the baby is. We did find out. But I want to know your guesses. If you already know, don't spoil it!

Trying to figure out the best way to eat spaghetti...

And the results...just dump it out of the bowl and squish it real good between your fingers, after taking off your bib of course, so you can be sure to get it all over yourself...

Beware of angry bull dog...for some reason Morgan loves to suck on and chew on wash clothes. Always has since she was old enough to hold one in her hands.

This was the funniest thing Morgan has ever done. She saw a ball under the bed in her room and all the sudden she just low crawled all the way under the bed and grabbed it. I was laughing so hard it took me a minute to realize I should go grab the camera.

April 26, 2009

Yesterday (Sunday the 26th) Morgan decided it was too hard to crawl when she was wearing a dress, so she started standing up in the middle of the floor and taking 4 or 5 steps. She was so proud of herself, but she would stop as soon as I got all excited. Anyway, today she's doing even better. I decided she's like her dad. She doesn't want to do anything unless she can do it perfectly. Oh, and she learned to say "no" this weekend. Oh the joy!

I just have to say that I love her baby fat. She still hasn't lost those rolls on her legs and wrists and I love it.

Trying to push both walkers through the doorway and getting angry.
Silly face
Cute Easter dress. She was being so camera shy and wouldn't let me get a good picture.

SROKA ASSLT Video

Here's a video from when all the soldiers went to the field a couple weeks ago. Its all just training excersises, not a "show of force" or anything. They trained together with South Korean soldiers.

My Sister's Keeper

This book is about a young girl, Kate, who was diagnosed with Leukemia at age 2. Her parents went to a genetic specialist to help them conceive a child that would be a perfect donor for their daughter who's prognosis was very poor.

At age 13 Anna, the conceived donor, is fed up with donating blood and bone marrow to her sister. When her parents tell her she must donate a kidney to save her sister's life, Anna decides to file a lawsuit to gain medical emancipation from her parents so that she can start making her own medical decisions.

This is a great story with a twisted ending you would never expect! However, I was very disapointed with the author for the language she decided to use in this novel. I've never read anything by her before, so I didn't have any expectations. She's a great writer, but if this book were a movie, it would be rated R only for the language. It definitely could have been left out. I doubt I'll read any of her books again for that reason alone, which is a shame, because like I said, she's a great writer.

I really loved this story though. There were some parts that were difficult to read because I hate to hear about suffering children.

Korea's Next Top Model-Modeling Shoot #1 Happy Baby

Thats right, watch out Lee Syori, here comes a little model in the making! Morgan had her first modeling photo shoot yesterday and did so well (considering she has 2 Korean women in her face trying to make her smile and a huge bright flash flashing every 2 seconds). One of the other American moms there took these photos for me, cause they don't give us copies of the pictures they take. We have to wait until the clothing catalog comes out to see them. They modeled the fall line of Happy Baby yesterday so the catalog won't be out until about August! These pictures aren't great at all, but the outfit was adorable and Morgan did smile a lot. They had to cut a slit in her hat to make it fit on her huge head!

These 2 photos are of the screen where the pictures pop up.

I'm really hoping they call her back. She made some awesome money for only 15 minutes of photos.

A Cute Video, Children's Grand Park, and More Easter

Morgan has discovered that she can climb on top of her shopping cart. So Clint took her for a little ride the other night.

On Wednesday Morgan and I went to the Children's Grand Park in Seoul. It was a neat place, completely free, and had a zoo, huge playground, amusement park and a lot more that we didn't get to see because of the rain.

One thing I love about Korea is the beautiful blooming trees.

We weren't expecting it to be so cold. Good thing we had a blanket with us.

Morgan could swing for hours if I let her.

Grandma Sharon and Grandpa Kent... We got your Easter box yesterday and loved everything! Here's Morgan checking out her bag of goodies. Don't mind the hairdo, she had just woken up from a nap :)
It didn't take long for Morgan to figure out how to pull the string on the rabit to make him shake. I only showed her once and she had it down. Here she is watching it.
And of course she loved the blanket. She must have checked out every single ribbon on the blanket and then gave it some hugs.
Clint and I love our shirts (I'm thinking we should get family pictures in matching shirts ha ha!) and of course we love the chocolate! In fact I'm eating some as I type :) And I can't wait to put Morgan in that adorable dress on Sunday!!!
Thanks so much for everything! We love you and miss you SO SO SO MUCH!!!

The Total Money Makeover

49% of Americans could cover LESS than one month's expenses if they lost their income!

If you only read one book the rest of your life READ THIS ONE!!!!!!

Honestly, Clint had to get on my case everyday for about 2 weeks to get me to read this book. I HATE reading for knowledge. I'm all about reading for pleasure. I especially hate anything that has to do with finances. I rather just have Clint explain things to me. But Dave did an amazing job at explaining things very simply in his book. His 7 baby steps are easy to understand.

This book will help you take control of your finances, it will help you get out of debt, and if you are diciplined and follow the 7 Baby Steps, it will also help you build wealth beyond your wildest dreams! No, money isn't going to make you happy, but being 100% debt free and being able to pay cash for anything and everything that your family needs and/or wants, will make you happy because the stress that is always hanging over your shoulders will be gone!
Dave's favorite thing to say is this:
"If you will live, right now, like no one else, then later you can really live like no one else."
If that doesn't make sense, or even if it does, then READ THE BOOK!!!! Dave is a genius! If you don't want to spend money on the book yet, listen to his radio show (you can get free podcasts or find local times and channels here) and you will quickly see why I've become an advocate.
And Clint...stop laughing...just because you had to twist my arm to read and FINISH the book, doesn't mean I didn't agree with and love Dave's ideas.

Chronicles of Narnia

Okay, I have to admit. I didn't finish reading the series. I've been working on them since December and absolutely loved the first 4 books. But I'm to the point where I just need to stop cause they are getting a little boring and repetitive. They are great for young kids. I just need a change of scenery I guess. I may come back to them someday and finish the last 2 books. I think I have 2 left. C.S Lewis is a great writer and actually kind of funny in the way he describes things. I highly recommend the books for Elementary aged children who love using their imaginations.

Happy Easter 2009

Easter was pretty mellow for us. We had a nice Sunday listening to our church's General Conference that they hold every 6 months. We heard some amazing speakers and it really brought the spirit of Easter into our home.
Morgan playing with her new tea set that she got from the Easter Bunny.
Sunday afternoon we went over to K-16 to the Easter egg hunt. They did it by age group and we missed Morgan's age, but when they let the parents go out, Clint took her with him. So it worked out. Here's our family picture. I think we weren't ready for it :)
The hunt. I was surprised how fast Morgan caught onto the concept of picking up the eggs and and putting them in her basket (plastic bag). She seemed to have fun with it. They didn't actually hid the eggs, they just dumped them into a field, so it wasn't really a "hunt", but it was still nice and everyone had a great time.

Thoughts On Easter

Another Long Weekend

Clint works rediculous hours these days. I'm sure most soldiers do, especially in Korea. But I cannot complain because he's gotten 2 long weekends in a row and I absolutely love having him around. On Friday we helped some friends move and then ran some errands. We stopped for a snack and Clint snapped another funny face photo of Morgan trying a carbonated drink for the first time.
These trees line one of the streets on post at Yongsan. They are the most beautiful trees I've ever seen, unfortunately they only stay in bloom for a couple of weeks and then they are back to dead bare trees.

Today (Saturday) we went to breakfast with some friends from Clint's company. We ate at a place called Butterfinger Pancakes and the food was SO GOOD!!! It was totally worth the subway trip!
Waiting for the subway train.
"I wonder what I can grab off this table and throw on the floor..."
We had spaghetti for dinner tonight and usually I feed Morgan her spaghetti rather than allowing her to make a huge mess. But tonight I thought I'd let her do it on her own. I just had to get a picture of the aftermath. You can see it better if you click to enlarge the photo.

Too Cute

Morgan pushing around her other walker toy. In her new summer clothes.
Morgan has been doing the funniest new thing. Actually, its not that funny, but its cute. When she's doing something she's not supposed to I'll tell her "no,no". She'll look and me and nod her head and say "ya, ya". I try so hard not to laugh, but its just too cute! Its like she's asking permission or maybe saying "I'm gonna do it anyway mom, cause I'm cute....see!"

April 8, 2009

A lot of people have been telling me lately that Morgan looks a lot like me. So I thought I'd compare 1 year pictures. I wish I had one of her that was more similar to my pose. This picture of me is 1 of only 2 pictures I have of me at that age. What do you think?

April 6, 2009

Don't you just love a sleeping baby? My mom says I used to sleep with my hands under me just like this.
Climbing in dad's new flight bag.
Morgan finally figured out how to push around the shopping cart we got her for her birthday in December. She was cruisin all over the house with it today.

Alpha Company Redeploy BBQ

Thursday, April 2nd, all the wives in Clint's company threw a BBQ for the soldiers who had been out in the field for the last week or so. The first video is of the pilots flying in. I must say that my husband has the sweetest job ever! Okay, so he's not flying in any of these choppers, cause he didn't get to go to the field with them, but still, its pretty sweet! I love seeing and hearing helicopters.

And the oh-so-long awaited for video of Morgan taking her first steps on her own. I was cleaning up one of the tables and I heard Eddie (our good friend) say, "oh man, she's walking!" And sure enough, when I turned around she had taken about 5 steps on her own. I'm so proud. I felt like an idiot though cause I was screaming and clapping like a little girl.
