March

I uploaded these in the wrong order, but oh well, right?
On March 29th Jackson got tubes put in his ears.  This first picture was after they gave him the silly juice.  I didn't like what it did to him.  Even though he was happy and smiling, he had no control over his body and that is a feeling I would HATE.  So to see a 3 year old like that made me sad.
Before the surgery.  I had to fight him to get those cute jammies on.
Easter egg hunt in the dark at BLORA.  Although the kids had a good time, I don't think we'll do this again.  It was so crowded and the candy and prizes weren't that great.  The lines for the fun stuff were super long too so we only played one game and jumped in a bouncy house for 5 minutes.
At our playgroup Easter egg hunt.

Balancing on the curb.
Walking home from school.  They're both scowling because they're mad at me :)
Playing "Wedding Day".  As you can see, Jacks didn't bother to dress up for the occassion.
First time bowling.  They loved it!

We took lots of walks during my pregnancy.  It was the only way for me to get any exercise.  The poor kids.  I made them ride a WHOLE mile on their bikes LOL.

February 2013

My Dad and step mom came to visit in February while my dad was in Texas on business. As always, it was SO FUN to have them here!!
Ready to play "farmer" with grandpa.
Picnic
Glitter toes!!

Silly girl

Easter

Somehow I didn't get any pictures of the Easter egg hunt. But here's a few pictures that I did get.  We had family ones taken that day too, but my mother needs to send them to me!

Grayson Clint Webb

As most of you already know Grayson made his appearance on April 1st 2013. The story is something straight out of a movie!
On Easter Sunday, March 31, I was contracting regularly all day, but the contractions weren't exactly intense. I usually feel Grayson move several times an hour, but from 7 am to 2 pm I had only felt him three times. I was concerned, so after calling the hospital and asking what they thought, we went in to get checked out. They monitored the baby for about 20 minutes and did a quick ultrasound. The baby was moving fine and had a great heart beat. There was plenty of fluid and the midwife thought I was probably in early labor.
We went to Jason and Shelly's house where my parents and kids were having dinner. (My parents were here for Braydon's priesthood ordination). The contractions continued through the evening but I wasn't sure if they were intense enough to be concerned so we went about our Easter festivities. We went home that night, put the kids to bed, cleaned up the house a little, and took a bath. I went to bed and slept through the night just fine. Only waking 3-4 times due to a few strong contractions.
On Monday, the 1st, I woke up at 6 with my alarm to get Morgan up for school. I sat in the rocking chair for a few minutes to see if the contractions were still coming regularly. I was surprised I had slept so well and thought maybe the midwife had been wrong about being in early labor.
My contractions were strong and regular at 6:30. I woke Morgan up and fed her breakfast. And by 6:45 the contractions were so strong I couldn't move during them. So I woke Clint up an told him we were probably going to have to go to the hospital.
Mistake #1-I told Clint he had time to shower.
Mistake #2-I thought I needed to tidy up a bit, finish getting Morgan ready for school and pack a few last minute things.
I woke my mom up to tell her we'd be going to the hospital and went in the bathroom with Morgan. I felt a gush a fluid and thought it was my water but it wasn't a large amount so I wasn't sure. But I went and told Clint we need to go now.
Mistake #3-carseat, boppy, and bags were not in the car ready to go.
Clint grabbed all the last minute thing and we headed out with me groaning and grunting and telling him to hurry.
We got to the hospital around 7:50. As soon as I stood up out of the car I felt an urgent need to push and that's where all hell broke loose!!! I PANICKED!
When the contraction stopped I thought I could walk so we headed for the door. "One foot in front of the other" Clint kept telling me. We got across the parking lot and another contraction started. There was no way I was making it to the door. Clint sat me down on a brick wall and ran to the doors to get a wheel chair. I was hollering pretty loud at this point. The contractions were so awfully painful! Some poor lady walking into the hospital was trying to reassure me but she had no idea what to do. Clint came running back with a wheel chair that was bigger than him! I managed to get in and he wheeled me in as fast as he could.
By this time my hands, legs and face were numb and tingling. Clint assured me it was just my body's natural reaction to the pain but I PANICKED!
We got to labor and delivery on the 2nd floor and as Clint tried to open the doors and wheel me in at the same time I just shouted "someone help us!" A nurse calmly walked around the corner and asked what was going on. I told her I needed to push RIGHT NOW.
A few nurses helped us into a triage room. One asked me to get my pants off which I couldn't do alone because my hands were stuck in some twisted position and I couldn't feel them. We managed to get the pants off and they sat me in a bed, all the while I'm screaming through contractions and telling them I need to push. A doctor came in and checked my cervix. As soon as he said I was "complete" I knew I wasn't getting medication and I PANICKED!
They let me push through 2 contractions in the Triage room but then rushed me to a delivery room so we'd have equipment for the baby. I was still in my own shirt, not admitted, no IV line, in a triage bed, and had no time to even think about relaxing!
The delivery room was a whirlwind of movement and voices shouting. I pushed through another contraction while screaming "I can't do this, I can't do this" among other irrational things. The nurse all but slapped me across the face. She was telling me to breathe and bear down. Clint was by my side telling me I could do it and to breathe. All I could focus on was the painful burning between my legs. I felt like I was being torn apart! The nurse told me I was almost done but I didn't believe her. Another push through a contraction and I felt his head come out, oh sweet relief!!! "One more for the shoulders" she said. So I pushed one more time and the heavens opened, the clouds parted and heavenly angels sang Hallelujah!! I could not believe it was over so fast (8 am)!
Then I saw Grayson, pale as a ghost, not moving, not crying, and (you guessed it) I PANICKED!!!
I had seen the color of the amniotic fluid when he came out and knew there was meconium in it. He had swallowed/inhaled it and was having a hard time breathing. Then the shouts of NICU and STAT started coming and all I could do was pray. The staff took good care of him and got him breathing. Once again sweet relief.
All the time they were working on Grayson the doc was holding the clamped umbilical cord between my legs waiting for someone to get an IV in me so I could have pitocin to prevent hemorrhage upon delivery of the placenta. Pain and burning again and then it was done.
No tears, no major complications, no medication, no essential oils, no HypnoBaby. I finally got admitted, in a gown, and cleaned up. I couldn't believe how alive and well I felt. I used the bathroom shortly after and once everyone (including myself) got their heads on straight and digested what had just happened, they let me walk down to the recovery room. Clint had gone to the NICU with Grayson and I hung out until he came to get me.
Grayson was fine. Breathing and getting some color. He was on antibiotics and staying in the NICU for a day or 2. Besides back and tailbone pain I was feeling great! We visited Grayson but couldn't hold him until late that evening when the oxygen came off and he no longer needed the heater.

He was 8 lbs 3 oz and 21 inches.
