Daddy Came Home

Clint came home yesterday for R&R. We're so excited to have him here! The kids ran right to him and gave him hugs and kisses. It was rough, but I waited my turn. As I suspected, Morgan is attached to his hip. Thanks to my friend Caitlin for taking these pictures for us!

Saying Goodbye

Yesterday we said goodbye to Clint for his year long deployment. I dressed the kids in their cute patriotic outfits for the occassion.

See the necklace Morgan is wearing? Its a little heart shaped flag. She calls it her "work necklace" because she associates it with the flag on Clint's uniform.

Hugs and kisses to last for a few months.

Its much more difficult to watch the kids say goodbye to their dad than to say goodbye myself. No kid should ever have to be without a dad....Sigh.

It was an emotional night, but we're doing okay. The kids don't really understand the amount of time their dad is going away. Its going to be a rough year I can tell already. Be safe Clint! We love you more than anything and will be missing you!

Stars Over Stetsons

On April 16th Clint's Battalion had their pre-deployment party. Rather than doing a formal event and charging us a bunch of money like they normally do, they had a casual cowboy-type party that was FREE!! We had so much fun. Clint even line-danced with me! Can you believe it?! For some reason, the lighting was just not working in our favor that night so these are the best pictures we got. It was called Stars Over Stetsons because they wear stetsons with their uniforms here, but as you can see, Clint didn't have his ready with all the necessary pins, etc.

I guess Clint had one too many waters.

March 11, 2011

I'm playing catch-up here, and out of order. Back in March Clint went to Colorado for 3 weeks for some training. When they flew home the wives and kids went out to watch the choppers come in.

Morgan was SO happy to see her dad. 12 months is going to be rough!

Sun. Sept. 12, 2010~Jackson Turns 1

On September 12th my baby boy turned 1!!! I can't believe how fast the time goes by. Its crazy!! We had a family birthday party for him in my mom's backyard. It turned out great. I told my mom I wasn't going to buy any decorations or make it a huge deal because it was only his first, but she surprised me with balloons, decorations, plates, etc. It was fun!
Alicia (SIL), Tyler (brother), Karen (stepmom), Ellie (neice), Marshall (brother), MaKayla (neice).
Fred (stepdad), Jenny (SIL), Paul (Clint's Grandpa), Sonja (Clint's Grandma), Jackson, Clint, Kent (Clint's dad), Kristen (Clint's sister), Clint (Clint's BIL), Billy (my grandma).
Jackson having fun on the slide. He accidently went down a couple of times but loved it every time.
We had a visit from a snake.
Opening gifts.

Jackson and his crazy faces! He loves sugar and he used to make this face whenever he was eating lots of yummy treats. Now he makes it just to watch everyone laugh. He loves to make people laugh.
My favorite.
Happy birthday Jackson! I couldn't have asked for a better baby! You make us smile, you melt our hearts, you show us unconditional love. You are the sweetest baby boy and blessing to this family. You are so loved by everyone you meet, even strangers. I thank my Father in Heaven for your sweet spirit and silly personality. You keep me sane when things are crazy!

Award Presentation

Today Clint's company commander presented him with an Army medal. I can't remember the exact name of it. But this is what it looks like.
Soldiers in formation waiting for the presentation.

The commander (left) had lots of great things to say about Clint's achievements while here in Korea. He's been a great asset to the company. He's learned so much and grown a great amount, both in his career and his personal life. I'm proud of you babe!!! These last 2 years have been a little crazy, but they've been worth it!
Clint's platoon leader, Cpt. Zantt, presented Clint with this plaque. Its pretty amazing. The wording tells a little bit about Clint's reputation while here in Korea. They called him Clint "The Killer" Webb, because he hit a huge bird in the helicopter one time, and another time there was a Korean farmer that said he flew too low and killed his pregnant cow (which ended up being a false claim). He also blew over a shed and caused damage to someone's car.
