I say this every year, but I really need to be better at taking pictures Clint and me together. The last 7 years have taken us to many places. We have met lots of new people and have learned a lot of new things. I never thought it was possible to love more than I did the day I married him, but I love Clint more now than I did that day, and that love is multiplied x2 in our sweet little children. I'm so glad we spent our anniversary together this year. I'm so blessed to have such great friends who took our kids for us so we could go on a date. Love you babe!!

6 Years

March 12, 2010-We celebrated our 6 year anniversary. This is the 3rd of 6 that we've actually spent together. So we were very happy to be together and have wonderful friends who could watch our kids so we could enjoy a night out.

We rode a city bus to the COEX mall and bought tickets to see a movie. Then headed to the World Trade Tower to eat at a restaurant on the 52nd floor. We heard it was a nice romantic place to eat, which it definitely was. We had a great view of the city. The food was really good and the service was great. Our table had a couch to sit on and was right next to the window with a lit candle.

After sunset. Unfortunately we didn't actually see the sun set because it was so overcast, which we later found out was partially yellow sand :( (can it really be that time of year already?).
I didn't really feel comfortable taking pictures in the restaurant because it was very classy and everyone was dressed in business attire, but we snapped a few.

After dinner we got smoothies in the mall and ate churros at the theater while we waited for the movie to start. We saw The Rebound, which was not rated PG-13 like the website said. But it wasn't too bad. Pretty funny actually.

When we got home the kids were sound asleep in their beds (hooray!!) and we watched American Idol (my favorite show). Which must have been fate that it was on because Kris Allen sang a Garth Brooks song, To Make You Feel My Love, which just happens to be the song we danced to at our wedding! How perfectly romantic haha!!

It really was a perfect evening and I couldn't have asked for a better gift than to have my husband here to celebrate our love, life, and friendship. (Disclaimer: this is about to get cheesy!!) In the last 6 years Clint has become so much a part of me. And especially in these last 2 trying years, I have felt our friendship deepen and our love grow more than any other years of our marriage thus far. I've heard people say they married their "best friend", but I don't think I did. I mean, I thought I did, but now I realize I didn't even come close to understanding what it meant to be or have a "best friend". However, I know now, and I look forward to many more trying years that will strengthen us and draw us even closer to one another. I can't wait to celebrate 60 years of marriage! I feel so incredibly blessed to be married to such a wonderful man in this life, as well as the next life. To have him for time and all eternity. What an amazing blessing!! 5 Years

Happy 5th anniversary to us. Going through my pictures made me realize we hardly have any of the 2 of us. We do have a family picture we had taken about 2 months ago, but we never ordered them and I can't put them on here digitally. We've had an interesting year. Clint graduated flight school, we drove 2000 miles straight in a Penske truck with a 6 month old baby and an 8 month old puppy, said goodbye to all our belongings, families and friends, moved to South Korea, celebrated Morgan's first birthday, found out we're having another baby, and now find ourselves once again seperated on our anniversary. I never knew my life would be such an adventure! Happy anniversary Clint. See you next week!

4 Years

I don't know how to do anything fancy on blogger, but I wanted to pay tribute to my amazing husband on our anniversary. We've had so many great experiences in the last 4 years!


In June of 2003 Clint and I met at a friends house. My friend, Kim, was trying to set me up with her fiance's friend that night, but turned out that Clint and I clicked much faster. He got my phone number that night and we went out for ice cream the next night. We ended up watching the movie Charly at his house and talking all night long. 6 months later, on December 15th, he proposed to me at the Snowed Inn up in park city. It was totally unexpected because the previous week he had been acting very strange...not wanting to see me, keeping our phone conversations very short and inpersonal, even telling me we were "moving too fast". The night before he proposed I was actually in tears, convinced that he would be breaking up with me any day. His plan worked, I was shocked when I felt a cold round object slip onto my left ring finger when I put on my gloves. 3 months later, March 12, 2004 we got married in the Salt Lake Temple. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day, even though he forgot to bring his grandma's silver knife to cut the cake with. :) (we ended up using a huge bread knife and plastic spatula from the kitchen at the church).

Since then we have had a wonderful life. Clint spent 4 weeks as a student in Costa Rica where I was able to meet up with him for 1 week. We took surfing lessons, zip lined through the jungle, explored the country on a dirt bike, visited Germany, learned about the devastation of WW2 while visiting consentration camps and museums, returned to the Dominican Republic where Clint served his mission. We've almost been thrown in jail, we went to Disneyland, we've moved 4 times, joined the military, moved 2000 miles to Alabama, driving 32+ hours straight in a gigantic Penske truck, surfed some more, discovered the beauty of the Florida panhandle, driven to Atlanta and Birmingham too many times, graduated from nursing school, we now have the most beautiful baby girl in the world, and have met tons of wonderful people along the road.

Happy anniversary babe! Wish we could have eaten that yummy barbeque dinner together!
