Rest In Peace Sammy

Monday morning we found that our little kitty had passed away in the middle of the night. We don't know why. But we are very sad. He would have been 1 next month. He was a good kitty and loved the kids so much. He was so tolerant of them and let them poke him and pull his tail all they wanted. He slept in Morgan's bed all the time. And she loved to snuggle with him. You will be greatly missed Sam.

Mon. Sept. 6, 2010~Tomato Days

On Labor Day we went to Tomato Days in West Haven where Clint's family lives. 5 of us ran the 5k that morning.

Here is Clint coming through the finish line with his time of 20.54. He was 2nd in his age group.

Kristen and me coming through the finish line. Our time was 29.04. I was shocked that I made it in under 30 minutes. I didn't think I would. Thanks for pushing me Kristen :) Eating donuts after the race. Showing our numbers. Me, Clint, Kent (Clint's dad), Kristen (Clint's sister), and Clint (Kristen's husband)...Oh how I despise after-running pictures!!!

We went home and got cleaned up and then went back to the fairgrounds for the rodeo.
We put Nobi in the dog race.
Getting ready.
Morgan watching the horses (yes, that is her buttcrack hanging out).
Morgan and her cousin Carson riding the train.

Jackson being goofy.
That night, back at my inlaws, Morgan got to ride Chrome the horse.
Her Rodeo Queen wave.
Jackson sat up there with her for a minute.

Here's a video of Nobi in the dog race. He did so good. I thought he would just chase the other dogs, but he ran straight to Clint like he was supposed to and came in 2nd.

Sat. Sept. 4, 2010~Reunited

On Saturday we left snowbird and went to Clint's parent's house in West Haven. Clint's sister brought over our dog, Nobi, and we were finally reunited!

Morgan was a little unsure about him. He's GIGANTIC!!! But she had fun chasing him around.

Moving: Day 2

Friday August 20th
The movers came to get our household goods.
Sammy finds the silliest places and positions to fall asleep.
The kids and cat staying out of the way.
"Look what my legs can do! They can hold me up!!!"
"And I'm down."

I Know Exactly How You Feel Sam!

Sometimes our pets know just how to express the things we can't.

A Solution to Too Much TV

We got a kitty this week. His pregnant mother was found tied up in a garbage can. Soon after she was rescued she gave birth to 6 kittens. Can you imagine! Pregnant with 6 babies and tied up to a dumpster!! Where's the humanity? Anyway, we brought Sam home and he and Morgan have quickly become BFF's. Since bringing Sam home Morgan has not been asking for TV quite as often, much to my relief!! Her and Sam chase each other around for the better part of the day.

Nobi's New Best Friend-August 5, 2008

Nobi is temporarily living with the horse at Clint's parent's house. The horse's name is Flash. Nobi and Flash just love each other. Nobi nibbles on Flash and Flash nudges Nobi. It was all real sweet until Flash stepped on Nobi. And that was the end of their 10 minute relationship.

Our Drive to Utah-July 15-17, 2008

On Tuesday July 15th we left Fort Rucker. We drove 14 hours to Clint's sister's house in Springfield, Missouri. The drive wasn't too bad except for how tired we were. This is a picture of all 4 of us in the truck. If you look close you can see Nobi on the floor below my feet.
This was Morgan the whole time. Happy and smiling! She was so good we couldn't believe it
Poor Nobi tried so hard to get comfortable. He was mostly under the seat with his head sticking out. At one point he was right under my feet with all 4 legs in the air.
Nobi trying to catch some cool air from the vent
Seriously, Morgan was such an angel. She cried maybe twice and it was toward the end of our trip. We sure are blessed to have such a good baby
We got to Kristen's house at 3:30 in the morning. Poor Clint was exhausted from driving. Kristen has a little Chiwawa named Tika. Nobi loved her, though Tika was a little unsure of him.
Tika did love Morgan though. She loved having someone her own size to play with, and so did Morgan.
We got up around 8 and played some Guitar Hero for a bit. Then we went to lunch at a place called Rib Crib. It was the best BBQ I've had in a long time.
Kristen and her husband, Clint. Thanks guys for letting us stay with you. It was good to see you!
The Great Platte River Road Archway Monument in Nebraska. This was about half way between Kristen's and Utah, so we were excited.

It took us 23 hours to drive from Kristen's house to Clint's parent's house and we drove it straight through. Clint was so tired and worn out. Morgan got a little fussy the last 3 hours or so, but I think its because it was 8 o'clock and still really light outside. So her body was telling her it wasn't time to go to sleep yet. We got to our destination at 10:30 pm. It was so good to finally be home!

Nobi and Hailey-May 10, 2008

While we were in Utah Nobi stayed at his girlfriend's house. Our awesome friends, Justin and Kristin Neal, took care of him. Thanks a ton guys. And I'm sorry about your screen and the barking. I stole this picture off their blog cause I thought it was just so funny. They look totally worn out! We owe you guys big time!

Our growing boy-April 26, 2008

As requested by my mother, here are pictures of Nobi. He's gotten huge!
This first picture was taken December 6, the day we got him.
This one was taken February 15th, 4 months old.
This one was taken today. Clint says he looks like the stupid hyena on the Lion King. He's 6 and a half months old now.

BAD DOG!-April 16, 2008

This is a cedar chest my dad bought for me when I turned 16. Isn't it pretty. It is one of a very few precious belongings that I have. I truly do cherish it.

Okay, bare with me for a minute. I want to build up to this next part. While I was in Utah I told Clint that I actually MISSED Nobi (our 6 month old puppy). Which is really wierd cause I wasn't too fond of him when I left Alabama. Too much energy for a new mom. Always under my feet. Having accidents on the carpet, as if diapers aren't enough! So, in Utah I really did miss the little bugger, but Clint kept telling me I was going to HATE Nobi when I got home. I INSISTED that I wouldn't hate him anymore. And he said "okay, just remember how much you missed him when you get home". I didn't really think anything else of it after that conversation. Well, today I am making the bed. I bend down to pick up a pillow off the floor and this is what I see...

Oh, BAD BAD BAD dog!!! Okay, I love my husband (bless his heart...as they would say in the south). But I told him time and time again "you can't let the dog be out of his kennel when you aren't home". But my dear sweet husband just knew that Nobi was ready to take on the responsibility of roaming around all alone in our empty house. "Okay," I told him, "but keep our bedroom door closed cause you know he'll be up on our bed". He forgot one day. I'm sad :( But I'm trying to remember how much I missed Nobi while I was gone. I only have one question though...when was Clint going to TELL me about it?

Our Baby Kitty-July 28, 2007

The newest addition to our family. Her name is Jasmine. Because her eyes look like Jasmine's from Aladdin. She's a ton of fun. But somewhat of a trouble maker!
