Happenings

Not much has been going on since Clint left for Alabama. The kids and I have been staying with my parents in Salt Lake City. Its so nice to be home. I love this city and state! I love being surrounded by family. On Sunday we went to my cousin's baby blessing and saw family that we haven't seen since our wedding! It was so nice!

I'm "training" for a half marathon. My brother is my "coach" and his wife is my running buddy. On Saturday we ran 6.5 miles, which is the longest I've ever run in my life. There's no way I could have run it without Brenna. This Saturday is 9 miles, I'm a little nervous!! Our half marathon is on October 16th in Park City. We'll see if I'm alive to tell the tale!
I just finished "Mockingjay" this morning and was a little disapointed with the ending. Not the WAY it ended, just for the lack of details. I don't want to ruin it for anyone, but it pretty much just said "I chose so-and-so and we lived happily ever after." I was hoping for more details on "so-and-so". Now that I don't have a book to read, I'll be catching up on NCIS :)

Clint is doing well in Alabama. He's taking the Instructor Pilot (IP) course there. He has a friend from Korea, who was also in his flight school class, who is there with him living 2 floors down in the BOQ. In a couple of weeks, another friend of ours from Korea will be there as well. So he's not completely alone. My brother was able to fly his family from Georgia for the day on Saturday. Clint had a blast with them.

If any of my friends in Salt Lake or Ogden or Provo wanna hang, I'm here all day everyday! We've just been visiting the park everyday and going for wagon rides.

Mon. Sept. 20~Saying Goodbye

On Saturday last week we had family pictures done in the morning. Then, we had a surprise birthday party for Clint's dad's 50th birthday. He was VERY surprised and we had a blast.
On Sunday we relaxed and Clint's mom made us her famous roast dinner.
Then came Monday morning and we had to say goodbye to Clint. The kids and I took him to the airport and the lady who checked him in was really nice and gave us a security pass so we could wait at the gate with him. Morgan was pretty upset that she didn't get to go on an airplane too and she cried all the way through the airport to the car!

We miss you already babe!!!

Fri. Sept. 17, 2010~Jackson's First Haircut

Jackson's hair was getting so long and growing over his ears so we decided to get it trimmed a little.

Wed. Sept. 15, 2010~Happy Birthday to Me!!!!

Sept. 15th was my 26th birthday. We celebrated with my family at the Olive Garden. It was so great to be with family. We are so blessed to have such wonderful parents and siblings.
Jackson loves limes and lemons.
My mom...oh how I missed her while I was in Korea!

Big Papa and Jackson relaxing on the swing.
Ready for cake.
Jackson and Clint's cousin, Miranda. Jackson was doing this funny eye fluttering thing. It was so cute! It was like he was batting his eyes at all the pretty girls.
The cake.

Mon. Sept. 13, 2010~Feeding the Ducks

On the 13th we met my dad and stepmom for lunch. Afterwards we went to a park and fed the ducks.
Jackson and Grandpa Call (my dad).

Jackson is 1!!!!

I wanted to upload all 13 of his first year pictures, but I'm not on my computer so I don't have them. But here is Jackson's 12 month picture with Winnie the Pooh.
Jackson still loves to scoot around. He can take a few steps forward crawling, but definitely prefers scooting. He pulls himself up and tries to walk when we hold him by his hands. He loves to jabber as usual. I can't keep up with his eating habits. He is a little piggy. He loves taking baths, he loves being outside. He has a newfound love for popscicles. He loves to play with whatever his sister is playing with. He loves animals.

Sun. Sept. 12, 2010~Jackson Turns 1

On September 12th my baby boy turned 1!!! I can't believe how fast the time goes by. Its crazy!! We had a family birthday party for him in my mom's backyard. It turned out great. I told my mom I wasn't going to buy any decorations or make it a huge deal because it was only his first, but she surprised me with balloons, decorations, plates, etc. It was fun!
Alicia (SIL), Tyler (brother), Karen (stepmom), Ellie (neice), Marshall (brother), MaKayla (neice).
Fred (stepdad), Jenny (SIL), Paul (Clint's Grandpa), Sonja (Clint's Grandma), Jackson, Clint, Kent (Clint's dad), Kristen (Clint's sister), Clint (Clint's BIL), Billy (my grandma).
Jackson having fun on the slide. He accidently went down a couple of times but loved it every time.
We had a visit from a snake.
Opening gifts.

The cake
Jackson and his crazy faces! He loves sugar and he used to make this face whenever he was eating lots of yummy treats. Now he makes it just to watch everyone laugh. He loves to make people laugh.
My favorite.
Happy birthday Jackson! I couldn't have asked for a better baby! You make us smile, you melt our hearts, you show us unconditional love. You are the sweetest baby boy and blessing to this family. You are so loved by everyone you meet, even strangers. I thank my Father in Heaven for your sweet spirit and silly personality. You keep me sane when things are crazy!

Sat. Sept. 11, 2010~Peach Days

I love going to Peach Days in Brigham City. Its one of my favorite past times. This year Morgan and Jackson got to see their frist parade.

My dad with Jackson
My favorite float. It was an Eternal Marriage float. It had the Ogden Temple on it, a bride and groom in the front, and their family, including grandparents dressed in white, in the back.
The cowboys shootin' each other with their guns.

Morgan rode her first carnival rides and loved them!
I thought she'd be terrified of this one because it goes pretty high, but she just waved and smiled and loved every second.
I was amazed at how brave she was on this fast rollercoaster.

Friday, Sept. 10, 2010~Generations

4 generations of "Pauls". Jackson Paul, Clint Paul, Kent Paul, and "Big Papa" Paul.

Sept. 7-9, 2010~ Camping at East Lake

Driving around the lake.
A view of the Yurts. We stayed in one of them instead of pitching a tent. It was so great! I don't think I ever want to use a tent again.
The inside of the Yurt. It had 2 sets of bunkbeds. It slept 6 people. There was nothing else inside except the beds and a coffee table. So we had to cook and wash and go to the bathroom like we were camping, but we had nice beds to sleep in.
Fishing.

Morgan's first time fishing.
The Yurt had a porch with a bbq grill. (So cooking was a little easier than when you're really camping).
A close up of the Yurt.
Yes, this made me EXTREMELY nervous. Fishing by the Dam.

Getting ready for a campfire. It was Morgan's and Jackson's first time having a campfire and they both loved it.
