We rode a city bus to the COEX mall and bought tickets to see a movie. Then headed to the World Trade Tower to eat at a restaurant on the 52nd floor. We heard it was a nice romantic place to eat, which it definitely was. We had a great view of the city. The food was really good and the service was great. Our table had a couch to sit on and was right next to the window with a lit candle.
Here's the view before sunset.
When we got home the kids were sound asleep in their beds (hooray!!) and we watched American Idol (my favorite show). Which must have been fate that it was on because Kris Allen sang a Garth Brooks song, To Make You Feel My Love, which just happens to be the song we danced to at our wedding! How perfectly romantic haha!!
It really was a perfect evening and I couldn't have asked for a better gift than to have my husband here to celebrate our love, life, and friendship. (Disclaimer: this is about to get cheesy!!) In the last 6 years Clint has become so much a part of me. And especially in these last 2 trying years, I have felt our friendship deepen and our love grow more than any other years of our marriage thus far. I've heard people say they married their "best friend", but I don't think I did. I mean, I thought I did, but now I realize I didn't even come close to understanding what it meant to be or have a "best friend". However, I know now, and I look forward to many more trying years that will strengthen us and draw us even closer to one another. I can't wait to celebrate 60 years of marriage! I feel so incredibly blessed to be married to such a wonderful man in this life, as well as the next life. To have him for time and all eternity. What an amazing blessing!! Happy Anniversary to you babe...to us!!

Aw, I'm gonna cry! sniff sniff. What a great way to spend your anniversary! Glad you had fun.
We love you guys! Happy Anniversary! I am glad you got a night out together. It seemed like a perfect night. :)
I did cry. I'm so proud of you both. Love ya.
By the way, love the pictures of you and Clint. Good ones for the kids albums.
The other day I was putting pictures in albums and Ellie was here and watching me. Fred came downstairs and there was a picture of me and him that I was putting in the album. He said 'Oh look, a picture of me and grandma" and Ellie said, "it's for the album so when you die we can remember you." I almost peed my pants laughing so hard. I told her that a long time ago and she remembered. Anyway, sorry, just wanted to share why it is important that I have good pictures of you to put in your kids albums. :-)
That was so sweet, it looks you had a great night. American Idol was totally for you that night. Congratulations, and heres to many more years or happiness together!
