Trip to Hangang Park

Clint has been working a lot lately. He's training a new pilot on the DMZ/no fly line. Thank heavens the other pilot took a 3 week vacation to Hawaii so Clint could have some time off too! He actually had this weekend off so we've been spending as much time outside as possible (since the weather has finally gotten nice!). We barbequed at home and ate outside for as many meals as possible. We have to get it all in before its humid and monsoon season!!

There is a huge river that runs through Seoul called the Han River. I'm talking huge!!! About 319 miles long to be exact. All along the river there are parks. Its actually considered one big long park called Hangang Park. There are pools, playgrounds, sports fields, resturaunts, picnic areas, boats, and we even found a 7-11 where we bought some icecream and drinks. Unfortunately I forgot my camera and these pics are from my cell phone.
Morgan eating her marshmallow icecream thingy.

This is a peach drink called 2%. Its one of my favorite Korean drinks, and I don't even like peach flavored stuff.
Morgan chasing the pigeons. I think this was the highlight of her week!

Everland Trip

May 1, 2010
Clint had to work again this Saturday, so I tagged along with some friends to Everland, which is kind of like Disneyland in Korea. They have cartoon characters walking around, rides, shops, shows, etc.
Our friends, Nikki & RJ
In the Fairy Gardens (I've given up trying to get a decent picture of this kid)

Jackson is in heaven when he's in his Beco baby carrier.

This was a fun house for kids. All the guns shoot balls.
You go around and collect them
Then put them into these fun machines and push the button.

This one shoots them straight into the air.
Morgan trying to carry as many as possible
Morgan in the Beco, boy is she heavy!
Morgan's fist amusement park ride. It was an airplane that went up down and around. She loved it!!
Unfortunately by the time we got the main kidland place, most of the rides were a 1 hour wait. And the ones that weren't, she was too small to ride :( But she did get to ride a few quarter machines.

Cute fairy magic show. I loved all the spring colors!
Jackson with RJ
We had so much fun with our friends. They are leaving today and we're so sad to see them go. But we will see them in Texas in about 6 months!!! Good luck Woolheaters, we love you guys!

Sitting Up

Jackson has been sitting up on his own for about 2 weeks now. He loves being such a big boy. He will sit with his toys and just play for a good hour (or until his siter knocks him over). This has also made bath time much more enjoyable for him. He sits and splashes and loves every second of it. I'm so happy he's sitting up 2 months earlier than Morgan did!!

April 14, 2010-Family Pics

We had family pictures done again a few weeks ago. This time a friend of mine did them. I think she did a great job! Here's a few of my favorites of the kids. I haven't decided which family picture I like best yet, so that will have to come later. Morgan was not cooperative at all and it was like 40 degrees out so we were all freezing.

The one below is the typical scene around our house.

Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA) Ball

April 23, 2010
Last night was the anual AAAA Ball. I have to admit. I was NOT looking forward to it AT ALL. I had only ever been to Clint's graduation Ball at Ft. Rucker, which was boring, especially since we didn't really know anyone there. They always have boring speakers at stuff like this which makes the night drag a little. Anyway, this ball turned out to be such a blast. We're so glad we went. We're lucky to have so many great friends here in Korea.

The ball was at the Hyatt Hotel in Seoul. We decided to leave the kids with some friends and stay the night in the Hyatt. Here's a few views from our room.

Getting ready at the hotel.

This was the back wall of the ballroom. So pretty!

Being silly.

It was a great night and we had so much fun! The speakers were actually quite entertaining. We're kind of looking forward to the next one. On Saturday morning we tried to go to breakfast at 2 different restaraunts, both closed. So we ended up going to lunch with a few friends, then we went to see a movie, but were both falling asleep before it even started so we just picked up the kids and went home. We missed the kids and were so happy to see them. I don't think Jackson even noticed we were gone :)

Morgan's 2 Year & Jackson's Blessing Photos

Back in December we had pictures done for Morgan's 2nd birthday. We decided to do a few shots of Jackson in his blessing outfit as well as family pictures. Due to lack of other options, we went to the same lady who did Morgan's 1 year pictures and family pictures last year. Which didn't turn out that great. These are the best ones we got this year. I thought I'd share. None of the family ones turned out. The flowers in these pictures were like a bright purple-ish color that didn't match Morgan's dress at all, so I had her turn all of them into black and white.
This one (below) is my personal favorite.
This is a perfect shot of her natural laugh.
Not sure why they cut her head off in this one???

There wasn't one single good shot of Jackson. This is the best we got and his collar is sticking up and the angle on his face is bad. O well, at least this year we will be in the states for both of their birthdays and we can do better ones! I hope!
PS Jackson was blessed in the same outfit his dad was blessed in :) So this picture is very special despite the not-so-greatness of it.
