6 Years

March 12, 2010-We celebrated our 6 year anniversary. This is the 3rd of 6 that we've actually spent together. So we were very happy to be together and have wonderful friends who could watch our kids so we could enjoy a night out.

We rode a city bus to the COEX mall and bought tickets to see a movie. Then headed to the World Trade Tower to eat at a restaurant on the 52nd floor. We heard it was a nice romantic place to eat, which it definitely was. We had a great view of the city. The food was really good and the service was great. Our table had a couch to sit on and was right next to the window with a lit candle.
Here's the view before sunset.
After sunset. Unfortunately we didn't actually see the sun set because it was so overcast, which we later found out was partially yellow sand :( (can it really be that time of year already?).
I didn't really feel comfortable taking pictures in the restaurant because it was very classy and everyone was dressed in business attire, but we snapped a few.

After dinner we got smoothies in the mall and ate churros at the theater while we waited for the movie to start. We saw The Rebound, which was not rated PG-13 like the website said. But it wasn't too bad. Pretty funny actually.
When we got home the kids were sound asleep in their beds (hooray!!) and we watched American Idol (my favorite show). Which must have been fate that it was on because Kris Allen sang a Garth Brooks song, To Make You Feel My Love, which just happens to be the song we danced to at our wedding! How perfectly romantic haha!!
It really was a perfect evening and I couldn't have asked for a better gift than to have my husband here to celebrate our love, life, and friendship. (Disclaimer: this is about to get cheesy!!) In the last 6 years Clint has become so much a part of me. And especially in these last 2 trying years, I have felt our friendship deepen and our love grow more than any other years of our marriage thus far. I've heard people say they married their "best friend", but I don't think I did. I mean, I thought I did, but now I realize I didn't even come close to understanding what it meant to be or have a "best friend". However, I know now, and I look forward to many more trying years that will strengthen us and draw us even closer to one another. I can't wait to celebrate 60 years of marriage! I feel so incredibly blessed to be married to such a wonderful man in this life, as well as the next life. To have him for time and all eternity. What an amazing blessing!! Happy Anniversary to you babe...to us!!

"The Calm Before the Storm"

Morgan committed her first crim today. We were at the PX shopping for a baby gift. I was browsing through baby clothes and pretty much letting Morgan play with anything she could reach from the cart. She was being very good. And Jackson was asleep in his carseat.

When we got home, I took Jackson out of his carseat and guess what....I found a stuffed cudly monkey rattle toy tucked inside Jackson's carseat cover. I still can't decide if she stole it for him or if she was just trying to be smooth and get away with it. Or maybe she just thought she was being nice and giving him something to play with when he woke up.....or maybe she's just a criminal.

I've seen signs at the PX that say "shoplifting, the calm before the storm". Next thing I know she's gonna be holding up the corner store down the steet for an ice cream cone!

Morgan got into my makeup. Lipstick to be exact. She thought she looked pretty good after this.

Trip To Osan

March 4, 2010
I took a trip to Osan with some of my girlfriends for shopping and lunch at Chili's. We had a lot of fun. But now I'm wishing it would get cold again so I can wear the beautiful new coat I bought.

"Details"

I say "details" because we all know how nothing is for sure with the military until after its already done. So here's what we "know" so far.

Clint was offered the IP (instructor pilot) course after we leave Korea and before we get to Ft. Hood, Texas. We are supposed to leave Korea August 19th, but the earliest class he could get into starts September 24th. So we will be staying in Korea a few extra weeks. If all goes according to plan (which it hardly ever does) this is what will happen:

We will leave Korea mid-september (hoping its before mine and J's birthdays) and fly home to Utah. We will be there a couple of days before Clint flies to Alabama for the IP course. The kids and I will stay in Utah. Clint should finish the course around November 18th and fly back to Utah. Hopefully he will be able to get enough time off that we can be in Utah for Christmas. Hopefully. Then we will load up our stuff that is in storage and move to Texas where we will live for at least 3-4 years (probably 4). As far as we know, the unit Clint is going to will be deploying in April 2011, so that will happen shortly after we get there. In case you were wondering.

We're crossing our fingers that plans don't change TOO much.

Elane Turns 2!

February 27, 2010
Morgan went to 2 birthday parties this past weekend. The first was for her friend, Elane. She had a princess themed birthday party. It was a lot of fun, Morgan loved all the princess stuff.
Awe, sharing....or is it stealing?
Elane crashed before we could even cut the cake!
I thought this was cute, Morgan is waiting so patiently.
The kids decorated their own cupcakes. Morgan had fun putting on frosting and sprinkles, licking them off, and then putting more on, etc.
Eventually she resorted to just eating right out of the bowl.
Morgan and Elane playing in the princess castle.

The other party we went to was for Apaulo. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of his Spaceman party. It was "out of this world" and we had such a good time (even though daddy worked ALL weekend). Happy birthday to Elane and Apaulo!!!

FINALLY!!!!

February 28, 2010
We've finally been having some warm weather and I just had to get Morgan outside to enjoy last week. We played in our "backyard" with sidewalk chalk and sidewalk paint. She loved it and I had to drag her back inside by the hood of her jacket (not really).
Jackson, enjoying the outdoors. He loved just looking around and listening to the sounds of barking dogs and cars driving by.
He discovered his toes somewhere around 5 months old. He would just stick his legs straight up in the air and stare at them. Now he's started to grab them and play with them.
