I DON'T WANNA BE A SOLDIER!!-March 3, 2008

Clint thought it would be cute to put his beret on Morgan the other day. But she was not happy about it, as you can tell from the picture.

Yummy Thumby-March 2, 2008

So on Sunday our friends, Nate and Mindy, were over for dinner. I let Mindy put Morgan down for her nap, and then we visited in the living room for a while. Morgan cried for a little bit and when she finally stopped, Mindy and I went in just to check on her...this is what we found...

Morgan does it all the time now. Just about everytime she lays down for a nap. I try to give her a pacifier, but she spits it right out and pops in her thumb! Tonight I caught her doing it while she watched Sixteen Candles on TV (she loves TV, especially American Idol).

Morgan's Room-February 28, 2008

So Morgan is just about 3 months old and I've finally finished her room (almost). The first picture is of her bedding that her aunt Jenny made. The Pooh bear doesn't really match, its not in the crib anymore. We finally hung the valence that matches the bedding. Jenny made curtains as well, but they're a little too short, so I'm not sure if we'll hang them up. The third picture is of frames and a saying that Clint's mom sent to us. The frame on the right has a picture of Clint when he was a year old, and the one on the left has a picture of me when I was a year old (which needs to be changed to black and white in order to match better). The saying in the middle says "a baby fills a place in your heart that you never knew was empty". The last picture is of Morgan's name that I painted and hung above her crib. THose of you who know me, know that I am NOT creative at all. So I was pretty proud of myself for thinking of the project and actually getting it done. But once Clint hung up the letters for me, I realized that they need something more. But I can't figure out what. Any suggestions? I was thinking ribbon or flowers or butterflies or something. But like I said, I'm so not creative!

First Professional Pictures-February 18, 2008

While her grandparents were here we took Morgan to get her first professional pictures done. There isn't many places to go around here, so we chose Sears. I wouldn't have chosen them if I had known they wouldn't do that great of a job. I could have done the same pictures at home and made her smile more. They just didn't pay much attention to detail and they rushed us so fast that I couldn't catch every little thing that was out of place. The quality of the prints aren't that great either, if you ask me. O well, she's beautiful anyway, and growing way too fast, so its good that we got them done. In the first picture Morgan is sitting on a Strawberry Shortcake blanket that Grandma Anderson made for her and holding a doll that Grandma Webb gave her for Christmas. In the second picture her shirt says "Daddy is my Hero" but you can't really see the word "Daddy".

Grandma & Grandpa-February 14-19

Clint's parents came to visit for a few days. We had so much fun with them. We went to Panama City, watched the sunset in Destin, shopped til we dropped, played Wii (which a LOVED), hung out, watched movies, ate good food, and had lots of Morgan time. It was great! Its always hard to have our loved ones leave though. We missed them as soon as they went through security at the airport. Thanks for coming out! It was great to have you here!

Clint and Morgan-February 24, 2008

Morgan loves hanging out with her dad. Clint is on hold right now and has been able to spend lots of extra time with the two of us. Its been so nice to have him home and somewhat stressfree. Here's a few pics of the two pals together.

Morgan is 2 Months-February 12, 2008

Morgan was 2 months old on Saturday this week. She had her check up appointment today where she got her first shots. I was so worried about it because of the horror stories I've heard. It actually wasn't that bad though. She screamed bloody murder, but I actually kind of chuckled about it (I know, thats horrible!) but I had never seen her so mad or in so much pain I guess, and I was just shocked at how big her mouth could get and how red her face could get. As soon as the nurse gave her to me she calmed down to just a whimper. My favorite part of being a mom is being able to comfort my baby. I love it! Morgan slept for a long time after that. She weighed in at 11 pounds 10 ounces and 23.5 inches long. Shes pretty much in the 75 percentile so she's just above average. Most of her 0-3 month old clothes are getting too small in the length, but they are still baggy on her width wise.

Mad at Dad-February 10, 2008

Okay, so the other day Clint was trying so very hard to make Morgan smile. All he wanted was one smile before she went down for her nap, but Morgan just wouldn't cooperate. In fact, I think she was yelling at him as you can see in this video. We had never seen her do this before. Usually when she gets mad she just starts crying, but this time she was...well...yelling, I think. Or at least trying to.
