Easter Weekend in Dallas

Apparantly the new Blogger loads pictures in it's own order of choosing, so these are a little off. Over Easter weekend, when my mom was here visiting, we went to Six Flags.
Obviously this was at the END of the day, not the beginning :)
Playing at the hotel pool.

This was at the Aquarium on Day 2 of Dallas.  We went on a carriage ride afterward.

Inside the Aquarium
One of the best things about being a mom:  seeing the look on their faces when they discover something amazing....
Weird tree
Jacks was facinated with this baby crocodile.

Not sure what they saw, but it must have been cool!

Back at Six Flags

Jacks was not a huge fan of the rides this time.  But there were a few that he did okay on.

Morgan, of course, loved every second of every ride.  She's a little thrill seeker.

Running 4 Your Life

My friend, Paula, put on this great race series to raise money for a soldier at Fort Hood. We started with a 5k in January. Boy was it freezing! Jason and Sadie ran with me :)

My little cheerleader.
The next race was a 10k in February where I broke my own personal record coming in at 54:10.I really wanted to pass this guy, but never did :(
Pushing to the finish...Unfortunately Jackson was sick and I missed the 10 miler. But was able to run the half marathon with my great friend, Rosalinda. I just love her, she pushes me further than I could ever push myself! This picture was taken by a journalist who wrote an article about us in the Fort Hood Sentinal.

Rosalinda, me, and Liz. All happy to be done!

March 2012

"Look Mom, I Santa Claus!" Jackson and Morgan love to play in the bubbles.

Reading, a favorite lately. We've been taking weekly trips to the library and I've noticed an increase in Jackson's intrest in books.
Taking pictures of himself, again.

I cut Jackson's hair myself for the first time. Yes, he still has both ears :)Morgan loves drawing people lately. She drew this picture of Clint's entire family for her Grandma Sharon's birthday.Cousin love.
In March we drove up to Gainsville to meet up with Clint's dad and sister. We spent the weekend at a horse auction and had lots of fun!
Morgan got to meet a very famous horse, Shining Spark, at the Carol Rose Ranch. He was beautiful!!!
We rode all over the ranch on a golf cart. That was Jackson's favorite part.
Digging in the dirt, I know, disgusting, there's probably a lot of horse manure in there, but sometimes you're just desperate distract your kids and you don't care what they play in, as long as they play nicely :)
We got a special visit from a very special friend. Rebecca, my best Nursing School buddy, recently moved to Dallas. She came down for an overnight visit and spoiled Morgan to pieces!!! Rebecca has known Morgan since the day she was born!
Morgan and Ambria had their first sleep over. Aren't they sweet?

More pictures from February

I am just so behind on posting pictures. Sorry for those of you who don't have Facebook. I'm really trying to be better! I promise. Here's a few pictures from February that I hadn't posted yet. More will be coming.
On this particular day I told Morgan we needed to do her hair. She put her hood on and said "there, now it won't get in my face". She hates getting her hair done!

Morgan was laying on the couch peacefully, when her brother decided she looked like a comfortable place to stretch out.
Jackson thinks that "cool dude" is a mean name. So he gets mad when I tell him he's cool. LOL
One afternoon, I thought Morgan was sleeping in my bed. Come to find out, she was giving herself a nice little makeover instead.
She's getting really "good" at dressing herself.....

February Catch-up

The warmer weather has inspired Morgan to start dressing herself.

Very first hair cut. It was just a little trim.

All tuckered out.
Valentine's Day cookies with friends (and cousin).

I couldn't get a smile out of Ambria. This was the best she would do. Miss attitude!
