Yesterday
Was a lot better. Morgan took her nap (almost 2 hours) with no crying. And last night she went to bed without crying and didn't wake up at all. Of course it could be because she's sick and just doesn't have the energy to fight, but I'm hoping its the light at the end of the tunnel.

Let Me Share With You
What life has been like since the pacifier was thrown away....
Sunday night-threw away pacifier. Morgan went straight to bed, no crying, woke up at 530, went back to sleep until 8.
Monday afternoon-cried for the entire 2 hours she was supposed to be napping.
Monday night-cried from 730-9, fell alseep, woke up at 11, cried til 130, woke up at 7
Tuesday morning, wouldn't look at us, wouldn't talk to us, wouldn't smile, she was very upset.
Tuesday afternoon-slept for 30 minutes in the car.
Tuesday night-went right to bed, no crying, slept all night.
Wednesday afternoon-cried for the 2 hours she was supposed to be sleeping.
Wednesday night-went right to bed no crying, can't remember if she woke up or not.
Thursday afternoon-cried for 2 hours she was supposed to be sleeping.
Thursday night-cried for about an hour, fell asleep. woke up at 11, cried til 2 am.
So in a nutshell, she has completely stopped taking naps and has stopped sleeping through the night. We are going on 2 weeks of trying to get rid of this pacifier. In my personal opinion, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a 2-year-old that takes a pacifier to bed. She wasn't sucking on it during the day, she wasn't talking with it in her mouth, she never had it in public. And I really don't think it was hurting her teeth, seeing as it always fell out of her mouth once she fell asleep. It was her own private form of comfort and we took it away and I don't think we should have...yet. However, we can't just give it back, so we're sticking with it.
Just thought I'd offer my opinion so that anyone out there with a pacifier baby who isn't a baby anymore could have a little advice :)

Videos, Videos, and More Videos
I love taking videos of my kids. I think videos are the best way to capture personality.
So for the last 9 days I've been trying to get Morgan off her pacifier at nap time. Every single day she has screamed and cried and then taken a very short 30-45 minute nap. She hasn't been sleeping through the night. I think because she loses her pacifier and thinks I took it away from her. So a couple nights ago I cut a hole in the tip and when she realized it didn't work anymore she got mad and threw it. But she slept all night long. Last night, after crying for a long time because her pacifier was broken, Morgan and I had a heart to heart and, together, we threw the pacifier away!
I was so proud of her! She went straight to bed after that and slept til 530. Clint had to soothe her back to sleep and then she slept the rest of the morning. It broke my heart to do this to her. She's still my baby girl. But it had to be done. And now it is. I just hope she forgets about it soon. Because the last week has been a nightmare!

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
I just finished book 2 of the Hunger Games triology, Catching Fire. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone reading this or the first book. So I'll just say it was SO GOOD! I was not expecting things to turn out the way they did. Not at all. I found this website (here) where you can "play" the Hunger Games. I totally lost! Ha ha! The next book comes out August of this year and the movie is projected for 2011.~Scroll down for more new posts~

Jackson is 4 Months
He rolled over twice yesterday. But as soon as I turned the camera on to film it he wouldn't do it and hasn't done it since. Morgan did the same thing. She rolled over the day she turned 4 months and then didn't do it again until she was 5 months old. We'll see what J decides to do.

Christmas Morning 2009
Thanks to my friend Erin, I finally found a faster way to get videos onto blogger. Since they never seem to work for me anymore. Anyway, Morgan was so cute Christmas morning. She passed out every single present she could carry. Definitely Santa's little helper.
