HELLOOOOO NURSE!!-February 10, 2008

That's right! You can now call me nurse Katie! I PASSED STATE BOARDS! Can you believe it? I can't! I was so worried about this darn test. I went to Dothan at 7 o'clock Friday morning to take it. I started the test about quarter to 8 and was done at 9. It stopped me at 85 questions, which is the minimum (the max is 205). So that either meant that I was answering most of them right, or most of them wrong. I'm so thankful that I have awesome freinds who have come to my house to watch Morgan so I can study, and who have come to study with me. I couldn't have done it without them. I was also worried that Morgan wouldn't sleep the night before and that I'd go in to take the test with only a couple hours of sleep. But she slept almost 7 hours that night! What a blessing! I am so freakin excited that I passed! I need to celebrate! WoHooooo!!!!

Morgan and some cousins-February 3, 2008

On super bowl sunday we went up to my brother, Jason's, house in Fort Mitchell, AL with my other brother, Travis, who lives here at Fort Rucker. We had lots of fun. The kids had their faces painted, but most of it had been rubbed off after a hard day of playing outside. These are 4 of Morgan's 7 cousins on her mom's side. She has 3 more that live in Utah, plus another on dad's side. Its so fun to have our families growing so fast. And we miss everyone that is back home. Hopefully it wont be too long before Morgan can meet her other cousins. Megan(5) holding Morgan, Ashley (3), Braydon(6), and Ambria (1 month).

President Hinckley-January 30, 2008

Most of you already know that the Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley passed away a couple of days ago. I've been meaning to post this, but have only just now gotten the opportunity. Its silly, but I don't ever remember anyone else as the Prophet of our church. President Hinckley has held the position since I can remember. I've always had such a strong desire to shake his hand and look into his humble eyes. The closest I ever came to that was when I was in highschool. I attended a young men/young women conference held at the conference center in Salt Lake City. We sat only about 10 rows from the pulpit. I remember when President Hinckley walked into the room. I was immediatley overwhelmed with a powerful spirit that confirmed to me that he was the one living prophet on this earth called of God to lead the true gospel of Jesus Christ. When I heard of his death I was shocked. Mostly because I was sure that some day I WOULD shake his hand. My first reaction was that I wanted to cry at the realization that my lasting desire would never be fulfilled. But very quickly the thought came to my mind that this amazing man was now back in the presence of the master whom he served his entire life. Not only that, but he was also back in the arms of his lovely sweet wife. I can't even imagine the amount of joy and celebration that has taken place since his passing. The thought of it reminds me that I need to live my life worthy of returning to the presence of my Father in Heaven and to keep myself worthy of my amazing husband so that someday we might walk, hand-in-hand, down the streets of Heaven. What an awesome example President and sister Hinckley were to not only the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, but to the entire world. I have such a great love for them and, though I feel sad at the loss, I am happy for their reunion.

Trying to Talk-January 23, 2008

Another video. I think this one is better. She loves laying on her changing table and just looking around. She was extra happy this morning, probably cause her aunt Mia was coming over to see her.

Smiles-January 18,2008

Here she is. Our little smiley girl. Clint was making kissing noises at her. Those two just can't get enough of each other.

It's Official!-January 17, 2008

Its official! I'm a graduate of the Licenced Practical Nursing Program! Hooray! I know, I know, it's not a DEGREE, just a certificate, but I'm that much closer. It's taking me forever, but I'll be a Registered Nurse someday. I'm just so glad that this year of information overload is over. Now if I can just pass state boards next month and actually BE a nurse. My actual graduation date was December 14th, but since I wasn't able to attend they sent me my certificate in the mail. If you're wondering, I have 3 more semesters to complete before I can get my Associates in Nursing and be an RN. It will probably take me more than 3 semesters now that little StinkerBell is here, but it will happen eventually! Even if it kills me.

Morgan's 5 Weeks-January 14, 2008

You don't have to watch the whole video, cause it's a little long. I was trying to get Morgan smiling, since she's been doing it so much lately. But as soon as the camera was on her she wouldn't do it much any more. So right at the beginning she cracks a little one, but the rest of the video is just me trying to get her to do it again.
