Race To Read

On Saturday Clint ran a 10k that the local library put on. After the adult race they had a little 1k for the kids. Morgan and Jackson walked/ran it. Here they are ready to go.

Being silly while waiting for daddy to cross the finish line.

Stretching with Miss Lisa

And they're off. They ran pretty good until they saw some ducks in a pond. Then they just wanted to watch the ducks!

Coming into the finish

Finisher medals and books! (I love Corduroy!)

Happy Father's Day

We are so lucky to have Clint as the father, protector, and provider in this family. He's such a wonderful, loving man and a great husband and father. We love you Clint!
Jackson's gift to daddy was a "back rub tshirt". I drew a little town, appropriately called "Jacksonville" on a tshirt and the kids drive their cars on it to give dad a little back rub.

Morgan got dad a head scratcher. Which he can't get enough of!

I made a yummy roast dinner that actually turned out decent this time! Yay! Happy Fathers Day Clint! And to our own fathers, we love you and miss you every day. We thank Heavenly Father for giving us such wonderful men in our lives to guide us and set an example for us and our children!

San Antonio Weekend

Just after Clint came home, over Memorial Day weekend, we took a little trip to San Antonio. We started out at Sea World.
Ready to see some whales!

Waiting for the Sesame Street 4D show to start.

Jackson did NOT like the water spraying in our faces and the seats rumbling.  By the end Morgan was ready to get out of there too.  It freaked them out just a little.
Morgan is always ready to ride a rollar coaster.
And the picture below pretty much sums up how Jackson feels about rollar coasters!
"Get me outta here!"
Morgan went on this big ride with Clint.  She's so brave!

Day 2 we visited the Alamo.  We learned a lot, it was very interesting.

After the Alamo we went to the Riverwalk in downtow San Antonio.  It was so fun!  I wish we could have dedicated an entire day to walking the river.  San Antonio is full of history!
On the river boat tour.
Sporting their new Nike's!
By far, one of the CUTEST, pictures of my kids to date!

May Happenings

I love taking pictures of my kids when they're sleeping :)
Just chillin'
Jacks thought it was unfair that girls get pretty nails and boys don't.  So he took it upon himself to paint his own nails.

Morgan has learned to write her first and last name with no promptings from mom or dad!!
She loves to have a towel on her haid like mommy.

Mother's Day

He did this on his own, I kid you not!
Since daddy's been home we've been spending lots of time at the lake and park!
Killeen Rodeo Military night!  She has an obssession with pink cowgirl hats!
1st Cavalry Division show.

Clint found this nasty long snake skin in the tree in our back yard!  I think I would have rather found a dead snake, cause the thought that this thing is still lurking around makes me cringe!!

Clint Came Home!!

On Thursday the 17th it was finally our turn to welcome home our soldier, hero, husband, father. Here the kids are playing while we wait for our big moment!
Little man...
American cowgirl
Waiting so patiently

The suspense was killing us!!

Finally together again!  We are so grateful to have Clint home with us.  We know many families don't get to be reunited.  Thanks everyone for your support and love during this past year.  We have come out of it stronger and closer as individuals and as a family.
