Christmas Day

This year we stayed home for Christmas.  This was our first time being away from family since the kids have been old enough to care about Christmas.  We missed our families and our traditions, but we had a very fun and relaxing day.  It is such a joy to see tha magic in your children's eyes during the holidays.

As much as I hate all the tiny pieces that come in a box of Legos, I LOVE the 3-4 hours of entertainment they provide!

December 2013

Grayson turned 8 months old, and he was NOT happy about it!
Morgan turned 6 years old!  And I was NOT happy about it!  She is growing up too fast.  She is very smart and excels in her Kindergarten class.  She is being tested for the Talented and Gifted class.  She reads very well and is learning math.
Morgan is working very hard in dance as well!  She is on team T-Lites at Spotlight Dance Studio.  They are competing in Jazz and Tap this year.
Jackson and Grayson are becoming buddies.  Grayson loves to laugh at his big bubba, and Jackson loves to make his little bubba laugh!
Christmas shopping with dad!
Grayson is getting more and more mobile.  He is doing the army crawl and loves to crawl right over everything in his way.
Clint and I ran the Jingle Bun Half Marathon with some friends in December.  He did well, I did not.  But I finished and it was my fourth half marathon!

November 2013

I am very behind in my blogging.  In November Grayson turned 7 months old.  His big milestone this month was sitting up on his own.
Morgan attended her first dance convention and learned lots of great new things.
She also participated in the Veteran's Day parade and we got to watch.
She just sat in the back of a truck and waived her flag.
While Morgan was at her convention Jackson and I got to go see dad in the field.

October 2013

Morgan and Sophie are best friends.
Grayson is holding his own bottle.  He's rolling all over the place and jabbering up a storm as well.
Just a little split stretching on the couch.

Octoberness

"Honey, where did the kids go?" "Oh, they're outside, jumping in the rain!"

On October 26th Clint ran his first marathon.  The months of training were long and hard (on all of us), but it turned out to be a fun weekend and a great experience for Clint.  The marathon was called Marathon 2 Marathon.  It started 26 miles outside of Marathon, Texas and they ran into the town. Marathon is about 7 miles west of our home town, so we made it an overnight trip.
Hanging out in the hotel after a long day of driving.
It was a beautiful day for a marathon!  Clint said the weather started out a little chilly and ended too warm.

The kids hung out with me at the finish line to cheer on the runners.
And here comes #80!!!  Looking like he's in a lot of pain!
Clint's official time was 3:52:29.  Not too bad for a first timer!
Immediately after the race he kept saying "why do people put themselves through this kind of pain. I don't think I'll ever do this again". Well, guess who's already looking for his next marathon! Yeah, he's totally going to do it again!
After fueling up the truck and our tummies, we headed back home.  The poor kids were exhausted by the end of the trip, but they were real troopers and we had a fun little getaway weekend.

Grayson is 6 months

Stats: 16 lbs 9 oz, 27 inches long.
Grayson is rolling all over the floor now. He likes to push himself backwards. He tries to push up into a crawling position but he's not quite there. He is still the happiest baby and is sleeping well. He's completely transitioned into the crib and sleeping through the night there. He eats solid foods when I remember to give it to him :) He hates squash.

He is such a character sometimes. So sweet and loving. He especially loves his dad and sissy!
