Quote From Julie Beck's General Conference Talk
Good women have always had a desire to know if they are succeeding. In a world where the measures of success are often distorted, it is important to seek appreciation and affirmation from proper sources. We are doing well when we develop attributes of Christ and strive to obey His gospel with exactness. We are doing well when we seek to improve ourselves and do our best. We are doing well when we increase faith and personal righteousness, strengthen families and homes, and seek out and help others who are in need. We know we are successful if we live so that we qualify for, receive, and know how to follow the spirit. When we have done our very best we may still experience disapointments, but we will not be disapointed in ourselves. We can feel certain that the Lord is pleased when we feel the spirit working through us. Peace, joy, and hope are available to those who measure success properly.

Girl's Day Out
This is not the best picture. Its from my phone. But Morgan got her first real pedicure today. These Korean ladies know how to pamper! I'm not a huge fan of pedicures normally, but I love getting them here. This is one thing I will miss!
Today Morgan went the whole day without a diaper. Usually when we go out I've had to put a diaper on her for the car ride. But today I braved it out and left her in underwear. She went the entire day with no accidents. I'm so proud of her. She's getting so big!

New Fun Stuff From Grandparents for Easter
Jackson is always so happy. All we have to do is look at him and he giggles and squirms.

A few minutes ago I was changing Morgan's bed back into a crib and putting it in Jackson's room. She was really unhappy about it and crying hysterically. She's been sleeping in a twin bed the last 3 nights, so I reminded her that she was in a big bed now. She went and laid in bed with her blanket and was crying so hard. I went and sat down with her and put my arms around her.
I said to her, "Getting big is hard isn't it?"
Through her tears and quivering voice she answered, "Ya."
I told her, "Mommy needs you to be a big girl, can you be a big girl?"
Again with a quivering voice, "Ya."
After a long pause...."I wanna song."
Then through MY tears and quivering voice I sang to her, "I See The Moon".

Easter Sunday
We had a nice Easter Sunday this year. We woke up early, as usual (because the kids refuse to sleep past 6 o'clock), and spent the morning lounging and enjoying each other's company. The Easter bunny brought Morgan a princess basket full of princess "stuff", a bathing suit, and new flip flops. He left a 3 lb bag of gummy bears for Clint and me.
I didn't buy Morgan an Easter dress this year because last year I bought her one, but then she got 2 from her "Pama's" (grandmas). She ended up with no Easter dress this year, but I did get her this cute new spring outfit. Unfortunately she can't hold still long enough for a decent picture, so this is all I got.

After church we came home and had a nice fried turkey dinner with our K-16 family. It was kind of last minute, but it turned out great. We're so blessed to have such wonderful friends here. Like Autumn always says, "Friends are the family we chose for ourselves." (We miss you Autumn). All in all it was a great Easter, even though Morgan didn't get to do an egg hunt this year. We hope you all had a wonderful day celebrating the Resurrection of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.
Our Week
This last week was kind of a crazy one. On Sunday last week Morgan decided she wanted to start actually peeing everytime she sat on the potty. So, potty training started Sunday and she was in big girl underwear on Monday. She had 2 pee accidents Monday, 2 on Tuesday, 1 "bad" one on Wednesday. Thursday, Friday and Saturday she had 1 "bad" accident each day, and then Sunday she was peeing all over the house and had another "bad" accident in her pants. Talk about FRUSTRATING!!!! I'm so worn out with potty training!!!! This is why I wanted to read one of those "do it in one day" books first. Because I can't do the "stay-at-home-for-7-days-and-never-leave-the-house-til-she's-trained method". When we leave the house, we don't leave for a quick grocery run, its a minimum of 1 hour of driving plus the errands we have to run, etc.
On top of potty training we had a friend come stay with us for 4 days. Morgan had a lot of fun having Naner (Xander) sleep over. Xander's favorite movie is "Cars", so now Morgan is obssessed with the movie and watching it right now actually. They played pretty good together, but Morgan decided she would start using toys to hit with instead of just her fist, so poor Xander went home with a bruise on the bridge of his nose. They did learn to compormise eventually as you can see in the picture below.
On top of potty training and having slumber parties, both of the kids have been sick and have been up A LOT during the night. Friday night being the worst. Saturday was an incredibly busy day for us, Clint was working, and I was running on 3 non-consecutive hours of sleep. I tried to sleep in on Sunday morning, but just couldn't do it. See, I have this problem where my mind just races and races as soon as my head hits the pillow. I can't seem to stop thinking about all the things I need to do the following day or replaying conversations in my head from the previous day. And, unfortunately, I can't take anything to help me sleep (not even Melatonin) because I'm breastfeeding still. So for now, I'm trying not to be too onery and cranky all the time :)
Thank heavens we had a fun and relaxing Easter Sunday with our Korea family!!

What comfort this sweet sentence gives!

He lives, my ever-living head!
He lives to bless me with His love.
He lives to plead for me above.
He lives, my hungry soul to feed.
He lives to bless in time of need.
He lives to grant me rich supply.
He lives to guide me with His eye.
He lives to comfort me when faint.
He lives to hear my soul's complaint.
He lives to silence all my fears.
He lives to wipe away my tears.
He lives to calm my troubled heart.
He lives all blessing to impart.
He lives my kind, wise Heavenly Friend.
He lives and loves me to the end.
He lives, and while He lives I'll sing.
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King!
He lives and grants me daily breath.
He lives, and I shall conquer death.
He lives, my mansion to prepare.
He lives to bring me safely there.
He lives! All glory to His name!
He lives, my Savior still the same.
Oh, sweet, the joy this sentece gives:
"I know that my Redeemer lives!"

Jackson 6 month Stats
Weight: 18.5 lbs. (60thish percentile)
Height: 27.25 in. (60thish percentile)
Head: 99th percentile!
He's gone down from 85th percentile. He's starting to level out I guess. He feels like a brick when I carry him. I guess my scale is a little off, cause I could have sworn he was 20 lbs. But thats okay, that means I weigh less too :)
