September Happenings

On September 11th Morgan's school did their annual "Freedom Walk".  Jackson and I were able to watch her and her entire school parade around the block waving flags and shouting "U-S-A".  It was fun.
Did I ever mention we got a dog?  Her name is Sophie.  Some of our friends moved and couldn't take her with them.  She a sweet dog and the kids love her so much.
Our big boy.  Trying to hold his bottle.
We went to Zoomerang's for Jackson's fourth birthday.  Grayson had a blast...
I can't believe Jackson is already 4.  He is such a character and keeps us laughing (and clenching our teeth).  He didn't want anything for his birthday except to go to the bounce houses at Zoomerangs.  The kids had a blast as always.
Jackson's actually birthday was on Thursday.  We didn't celebrate until Saturday.  He never once asked for a present or a party or anything.  He can be a really good boy when he wants to be.  He was happy to finally be opening presents this afternoon.
Every little boy needs Doggy Doo in their game closet.
Morgan drew him an awesome picture and bought him a Batman cup and some Mario gummies.
Grandma got this for Jackson back in December (to save for his bday) and it's been under my bed ever since.  He's been asking to play with it all year, but I saved it for his bday and wrapped it up for him.  He still was so excited, even though he knew what it was.
Jackson got his first soccer ball and goal.  We can't wait to get a game of girls against boys going!

August

I hardly took any pictures this month. Actually, that is not true. I took several pictures on my phone, but it went for a swim in the pool when I had to jump in to save Jackson a few weeks ago. So these pictures from my camera are all we get.

Grayson turned 5 months old!  He still isn't rolling around very much.  He has found his toes and is becoming more vocal.  Has tried a few different baby foods.  Rice cereal was awful for him so we just skipped to the fruits and veggies.  He does okay with them.  But I feel like I don't have time to sit and feed him every meal, so he only gets baby food once or twice a week.
We got me an early birthday present.  I found this picture on my camera.  Morgan had done a photo session with Jackson and the new vacuum.
Clint made me the clothes line I've been wanting for months!  I love it.
Wow, that is probably the most boring post I have ever written. :)  Hope you enjoyed it anyway mom!

Morgan's First Day of Kindergarten!!!

I'm not going to lie, sending her to Kindergarten was a little emotional for me.  I know, I know, she went to Pre-K last year.  But I kind of felt like I was sending her to a glorified daycare (especially after being in the class with her and seeing how Pre-K works).  But this is REAL school, kind of.  I remember being in Kindergarten.  I remember the first day and learning to be a better reader and writer.  I remember the kissing tag games on the playground and beating up a few of the mean girls.  She is growing up too fast!  I can't wait for her to tell me all about her first day of Kindergarten.
Jackson wanted a picture of his first day of Morgan's first day of Kindergarten.

Daddy got to take her to class today.  He said she talked his ear off the whole way there.  She was so excited.

I just overheard Morgan playing church. She was saying "Heavenly Father is real, He lives in outer space. You have to do everything Heavenly Father tells you. You have to go to church because the church is real."

It's always comforting to know your child is listening snd gaining their own version of a  testimony, even if it is based off of your own.

These two cousins FINALLY decided to get along this time. Once they figured out that its more fun to play than fight, they had a great time!

Grayson 4 months!

Grayson is 4 months old!  Time goes by way too fast.  He is developing quite the personality.  All sweet and sunggly still.  He is still sleeping through the night (most of the time).  He can reach for and grab objects.  He puts everything in his mouth.  He loves to talk to his dad and to his sissy.  He can roll from stomach to back.  He weighs 14.65 lbs and is 25.5 inches long.  He went from the 5th percentile to the 41st percentile!  He's got rolls on his thighs now, which makes me happy :)

He wanted to grab that Tigger so bad!
 I love these crazy kids!

A Quick Trip to Utah

We found out in July that Clint will soon be deploying again.  Even though he doesn't have orders yet, we figured we should just plan on it happening and take a trip home to Utah.  So we packed up on a Sunday and left on Monday.  We only had a week there, but we had a good time with family.
The drive is so brutally long, but the kids did great (well, the big kids anyway).
The first thing on our agenda was Pioneer Day festivities.  Morgan wanted to wear her hat and boots, just in case she got to meet Miss Rodeo Utah!
Well, she got pretty lucky!  Not only did she meet Miss Rodeo Utah, she also met Miss Rodeo America and made a new friend, Shelby, who was Little Miss Bear River Queen.
Shelby and Morgan
Morgan and Miss Utah.
Every morning it was the same thing..."Where is Morgan?
Oh, she's out with Comit."
"Does anyone know where Morgan is?  Oh, she's out with Comit."
"Morgan, where are you?  Oh, she's out with Comit."
Being in Utah is Morgan's most favorite thing in the whole world.  She loves her extended family and asks us everyday if we can take them ALL with us when we move so we can all live together.  She dreams of living on a farm and spending her days with horses.
My sister-in-law, Jenny, came up to West Haven to ride horses with us.  She brought Ellie and Kayla.

I think they had a really good time.  Riding horses is every little girls' dream at some point I think.
Family picture while camping in the Uintahs.  Brrrrr.  It was freezing up there!  I don't think my toes ever thawed out until we got home.

The kids had fun on the slip n slide.

Misc. July Pictures

Morgan loves to help in the kitchen.  Pants are never required.
She also loves to feed her baby brother.  She refers to herself as "sissy" when she talks to him.  Sibling love is so precious.  It brings so much joy to my heart.
A few weeks ago I felt like getting Sunday pictures of the kids.  They are just so handsome/pretty on Sundays and I want to remember them like this forever.  Someday I'll be fighting to get them out of bed on Sunday mornings.

Yes, I make my kids match whenever possible.  Because they're too young to care or realize!!
Grayson discovered his hands in July.  At about 3 1/2 months old.  He is now getting good at reaching for things and grabbing them.
